Just some pictures this week.

I thought we'd start Mason on some finger food.  He's not quite there yet.  When he's lucky enough to land a puff in his mouth he's not exactly sure where to take it from there.  It sure is cute watching him try though!  And there's no complaints from Molly, she's rediscovered her love of hanging out underneath an eating baby.

I just love this picture.  You'd think there is a mutual love between Molly and Kade.  There isn't.  But it's nice to pretend once in awhile :-)

Handsome fella.

Cousin cuties.  Violet is 2 years and 3 months old.  Mason is 7 months old.  They wear the same size diaper and Mason weighs about 3 pounds less than her. Yep, he's big.  And yep, she's a peanut!

Uncle Jay, the boy's most energetic uncle!  The guy is made up of energizer batteries, I swear!

Mason discovered a new game this weekend.  He hits the ball as hard as he can and then scoots after it as fast as he can.  This kid can move!!  Fast!!  All of his "Kade Observations" have paid off.  Kade doesn't stand a chance in a few months.

Seriously.  I can't get enough of this little nugget.

Daddy Daycare.  Gotta do what you gotta do when football is on!  just kidding, he was only in there for a minute.  Enough for me to snap a picture and give Erik a hard time :-)

And finally....
My loves....

Labor Day weekend

As if we weren't busy enough with unpacking, cleaning and just settling in we had reservations for camping over Labor Day weekend.  So we took a break from unpacking the house and instead packed up the camper!  Although the weekend was book ended with rain, Saturday and Sunday were beautiful!  And even though it was a little more work for us, it was well worth the trip because it forced us to relax--which we wouldn't have done if we had stayed home.  That's what camping is all about!

Kade had a blast playing with Reed, Paige and Carter for 3 days in a row.  Mason had a blast watching them.  Although he's getting pretty frustrated with not being able to move like the big kids.  He's working hard at it everyday, so it's about time to do some major baby proofing.

He's not a huge fan of this yet.  He pretty much can only move backwards so he gets stuck a lot.

These pictures don't do justice to the enormity of the mud puddle on our campsite.  It was impossible to keep them out of it so we didn't even try.  The catch phrase of our weekend was, "We're making memories, people."  The mom's had to keep repeating it over and over and over as more and more clean clothes and clean kids came back covered in mud.

Finger lights and sparklers, what could be better?

Ice cream, that's better :-)

Sorry for the lack of Mason pictures this week.  Every time I had the camera out the little cutie was napping!

This past week was overwhelming, to say the least.  We sold our house and bought a new house on Friday, packed and cleaned our old house on Saturday and moved everything we own on Sunday.  Oh, and we went to work on Monday.  Oh, and it was the hottest weekend of the year....90 degrees, with a heat index of 105.  Thank goodness for family!  We had movers, cleaners, unpackers and babysitters galore!

The boys are sharing a bedroom for now, until we finish the basement.  I thought the transition would be rough but they are doing great!  Kade's mentioned a few times that he wants to go home.  When we talk it out though it just comes down to the fact that he can't walk over to Michael and Taylor's house anymore.  Otherwise he likes our new place better.  Mason hasn't really missed a beat as far as eating and sleeping goes.  He probably likes it better because we don't let him "cry it out" as long as we normally would since Kade is sleeping in there with him.

Speaking of Mason, he's no longer the sit-on-my-lap-snuggly-observer kid.  He's on the move!!  He's army crawling and rocking on all 4's now.  And he definitely wants nothing to do with sitting still.  It's a wrestling match for diapers changes, bottle feeding and baths these days!  As if our life wasn't hectic enough :-)

Anyway, in all the commotion I managed to take exactly 2 pictures this week :-)

The boy's room.

First bath together in the new house.

This week we are working on packing up our house and moving to our "new" house out in the country!!!  Although it's going to be hard to leave where we are now, the place we are going is something Erik and I have always wanted.  Kade and Mason will officially be "Country Boys" after this week!  As in gravel roads, surrounded by corn fields, kind of country.  It's not for everyone but it's definitely for us :-)

The hardest part about moving is splitting up these two BFF's:

But, we're only moving 5 miles away and they'll still see each other all the time.  So the "Struction Men" (their favorite thing to play) will still be able to build houses, roads, decks, sheds, barns, etc, etc.  Yep, these boys are BUSY!

And these handsome brothers will always have each other...

Big boy getting stronger and sturdier everyday.

Kade Quote

Me:  How did you get that cut on your head?  There's dried blood!
Kade:  Elliot hit me with pizza today.
Me:  Why did he hit you?!
Kade:  We were playing Angry Cats.
Me:  Okay......Kade, if someone is hitting you tell them to stop.  If they don't stop then you can hit them back.
Kade:  Oh!!!  Should I hit him with a doughnut?

Kade's 4th Birthday and Mason's 6 Month Appointment

Sunday was Kade's 4th birthday!!  I don't know how that happened, I swear he was just a baby yesterday.  Time flies way too fast these days.  His birthday never ends!  He's going to be so disappointed when he finally realizes it's just one day and not an entire week!

Last Tuesday we packed up the camper and headed to Lady A's hometown for a few days.  We went to a farm show, checked out her parent's farm, Kade and Erik went for a tractor ride and more than a few gator rides.  We also celebrated his birthday with her family.  That was presents, cake and candles #1.
Here's a couple pictures from that trip.

Saturday we had our families over for dinner to celebrate.  That is presents, cake and candles #2.
Little cheese ball.

Then on Sunday, his actual birthday, we had Erik's cousin's family over.  We went to the pool then came back for presents, cake and candles #3.

He didn't seem to mind blowing out candles from a half eaten cake!

Finally he had his daycare party yesterday!  Presents, cake and candles #4!!!!  He's got to be light headed from blowing out candles that many times!

Today is Erik's birthday.  I told Kade this and he said, "Dad gets to open presents today?"  I told him we didn't get dad any presents.  Kade was pretty upset about this.  So I said we could go to the store and buy dad something.  When Kade heard that option, he got over dad's lack of gifts pretty quickly.  He said, "No.  I'm not going shopping, mom.  You can go shopping for all of us."  So we're back to a no gift birthday for Erik :-)

Mason had his 6 month appointment today.  3 shots in the legs and one vaccine he had to swallow.  He sucked down the oral vaccine quickly, the nurse was impressed.  She'd never seen a baby take one down so well.  He does like his food :-)

For the past couple appointments Mason has been the exact same size Kade was.  Although they are still EXTREMELY close, Mason has passed Kade's stats.  Kade has always been a big boy, I never in a million years dreamed I'd have an even bigger boy.  But I do and I have the biceps to prove it!

Mason:
27.75 inches (89%)
21 pounds (88%)
Head circumference is 44.60 cm (83%)

Kade, at 6 months:
27.5 inches (81%)
20 pounds (80%)
Head circumference was 45.50 (89%)

He's not missing any meals!  And, so far, he's loving every food we've given him.  I thought feeding Erik and Kade was a full time job.  It looks like Mason is going to be just as big.  I might as well quit my job and move a bed into the kitchen because that's where you will find me from now on!

Just some random pictures of the boys this week.
Future baller, dressing the part now.

I can't believe it but Mason is 6 months old!  He's not a fan of rice but eats oatmeal like a champ, just like Kade did!  We tried sweet potatoes the other day and he downed those too.  Hopefully this means we're on our way to having another great eater!

Warning, this next picture is not for weak stomachs:

He literally started throwing up as we pulled into the driveway.  The unfortunate part was that I was sick too.  And Erik wasn't home.  It was a tough hour as I cleaned everything and tried to keep my own stomach contents in.  He smiled as it was coming out though and through clean up.  Such a happy and content little boy.

This was him the next day:
All better!  And looking so big!

Dentist visit...Kade had 6 cavities!!  I swear we brush, floss and eat well!  Kid doesn't even like juice that much!!

Since the dentist can't give out sweets, they give out sweet mustaches instead.  A glimpse at Future Kade, perhaps?

We had to split the cavity fixing into 2 dentist appointments, so Mason got in on the mustache action as well.

Handsome little stud.  We've gotta work on his flexing though :-)  I don't have the heart to correct it yet, he's just too darn cute!

And my favorite picture of the boys, to date:
