At the rate I’m going, I’m going to be a year behind with my updates!!!

I will say, being this far behind with my pictures is a nice trip down memory lane!  I’m right around June 2025 now.

This post makes me kinda sad, actually.  Because I’m so far behind, I don’t think I’ve mentioned on here that Mason had to have surgery on his left elbow at the beginning of the year.  He did some damage to the bone (no idea how or when!  And even Mason doesn’t remember hurting it exactly—that’s what you get when you’ve got an ADHD boy with an EXTREMELY high tolerance for pain!!).  And every time he threw a ball or lifted heavy he was redamaging it.  The injury couldn’t heal without surgery and a very long recovery.  So his 6th grade basketball season ended 2 months early and he can’t play baseball this summer as it’s a 4-6 month minimum recovery.

So, needless to say, seeing these summer baseball pictures of Mason makes me sad because we won’t be seeing that this summer.  And he’s just SO DARN CUTE in those baseball pants!!

These pictures aren’t in order…

1st place at their first tournament 2025, with G&G C

And G&G H

Bubba and Nibble!!

And mom and dad

Mason and his cousin Isaac were on the same team which was so fun for them!

Oh the middles!
Never a dull moment.

Bubba on the mound
little did we know that he was probably hurting his elbow when he pitched. 🤷‍♀️

Like I said, pictures are out of order.  I think this was on the last day of school.

The tournament was on Father’s Day

The boys got a new cousin last summer!
Jaxon
Kade was in heaven, he absolutely loves babies!!

Kade umped youth games last summer.  It’s hard to see him in this picture because his shirt matched the uniform of the other team.  But that’s Kade umping on the right side of the picture, and Mason is on base.

Kade made academic all conference and received his first varsity letter as an 8th grader!

Kade’s last day of 8th grade

First summer ball tournament was a cold one but they qualified for State!

While Kade was playing baseball, Mason was gifted a chartered fishing trip on Lake Superior from G&G H.  He loved every single second of it!

That smile says it all!

I don’t usually make New Year’s resolutions, but I’ve got a couple this year.  And one of them is getting back to weekly blog posts!  I don’t know if anyone even reads this blog anymore, but I still enjoy going back and looking at old posts.  Especially now that these baby boys are giants and look more like men than babies 🥹 so for my own future self, I gotta do better!

I still can’t figure out how to post pictures in order.  And at this point, I don’t care, just as long as they all post.  Can’t tell you how many times I’ve downloaded pictures only to have them disappear.  I’ll take what I can get!!

First camping trip of 2025

I remember before they took off, Mason promised me he was going to stay out of the water.  We happened to be on a walk and looked over and saw this:

Yeah.  Promise not kept, that’s mason bent over in the drink 😆

Mason and Harper working on their tans.

Oh teenagers 😂

Mason’s last field trip in elementary school

Fifth grade graduation!
All of the Naught Niners with their mama’s!  These boys gave us all MANY gray hairs during their elementary school tenure.
And the Naughty Niners with their favorite principal, Mr. Midge.  He gave them their nickname but I’m pretty sure he thoroughly enjoyed them!

Mason with his 5th grade teacher, Mrs Gessner

These are out of order, but Mason walking across the stage for his 5th grade diploma drew many laughs.  Because Mason was in Mr. Midge’s office more than the rest of the Niners.  Because of behavior but also because he legit just liked hanging out with Mr. Midge.  So of course they had to do an extra special handshake went Mason’s name was called.
