Mason has officially started "real baseball". He's in his first year in the Development League, which basically means he's learning the fundamentals of baseball with a bunch of other cuties his age. Erik is the Head Coach, which basically means he's learning the fundamentals of hearding cats.
Mason loves batting, he's starting to show more enjoyment in fielding, and he's got zero desire to run the bases. Baby steps, people. But, dang, does he look cute in his gear!!
Kade's in his 4th year of playing and his team is crushing it!
They recently had a tournament where his team basically walked away with 1st place. It wasn't much of a competition.
We just recently received word that their team was nominated, and chosen, for Fox 47 new station's Youth Sports Report for the month for July! I don't think it's been aired yet, so stay tuned!
Kade, and some of his other teammates, are making quite a name for themselves around the area! We've heard from a few different people telling us stories about how they were talking to so-and-so in a different town and they were told about the, "giant kids crushing the ball and having great fielding on the D-E team".
Kade's hard work and determination, and obsession with playing sports 24/7, are starting to show!
