This past week was overwhelming, to say the least.  We sold our house and bought a new house on Friday, packed and cleaned our old house on Saturday and moved everything we own on Sunday.  Oh, and we went to work on Monday.  Oh, and it was the hottest weekend of the year....90 degrees, with a heat index of 105.  Thank goodness for family!  We had movers, cleaners, unpackers and babysitters galore!

The boys are sharing a bedroom for now, until we finish the basement.  I thought the transition would be rough but they are doing great!  Kade's mentioned a few times that he wants to go home.  When we talk it out though it just comes down to the fact that he can't walk over to Michael and Taylor's house anymore.  Otherwise he likes our new place better.  Mason hasn't really missed a beat as far as eating and sleeping goes.  He probably likes it better because we don't let him "cry it out" as long as we normally would since Kade is sleeping in there with him.

Speaking of Mason, he's no longer the sit-on-my-lap-snuggly-observer kid.  He's on the move!!  He's army crawling and rocking on all 4's now.  And he definitely wants nothing to do with sitting still.  It's a wrestling match for diapers changes, bottle feeding and baths these days!  As if our life wasn't hectic enough :-)

Anyway, in all the commotion I managed to take exactly 2 pictures this week :-)

This week we are working on packing up our house and moving to our "new" house out in the country!!!  Although it's going to be hard to leave where we are now, the place we are going is something Erik and I have always wanted.  Kade and Mason will officially be "Country Boys" after this week!  As in gravel roads, surrounded by corn fields, kind of country.  It's not for everyone but it's definitely for us :-)

The hardest part about moving is splitting up these two BFF's:

But, we're only moving 5 miles away and they'll still see each other all the time.  So the "Struction Men" (their favorite thing to play) will still be able to build houses, roads, decks, sheds, barns, etc, etc.  Yep, these boys are BUSY!

And these handsome brothers will always have each other...

Big boy getting stronger and sturdier everyday.

Kade Quote

Me:  How did you get that cut on your head?  There's dried blood!
Kade:  Elliot hit me with pizza today.
Me:  Why did he hit you?!
Kade:  We were playing Angry Cats.
Me:  Okay......Kade, if someone is hitting you tell them to stop.  If they don't stop then you can hit them back.
Kade:  Oh!!!  Should I hit him with a doughnut?

Kade's 4th Birthday and Mason's 6 Month Appointment

Sunday was Kade's 4th birthday!!  I don't know how that happened, I swear he was just a baby yesterday.  Time flies way too fast these days.  His birthday never ends!  He's going to be so disappointed when he finally realizes it's just one day and not an entire week!

Last Tuesday we packed up the camper and headed to Lady A's hometown for a few days.  We went to a farm show, checked out her parent's farm, Kade and Erik went for a tractor ride and more than a few gator rides.  We also celebrated his birthday with her family.  That was presents, cake and candles #1.
Here's a couple pictures from that trip.

Saturday we had our families over for dinner to celebrate.  That is presents, cake and candles #2.
Little cheese ball.

Then on Sunday, his actual birthday, we had Erik's cousin's family over.  We went to the pool then came back for presents, cake and candles #3.

He didn't seem to mind blowing out candles from a half eaten cake!

Finally he had his daycare party yesterday!  Presents, cake and candles #4!!!!  He's got to be light headed from blowing out candles that many times!

Today is Erik's birthday.  I told Kade this and he said, "Dad gets to open presents today?"  I told him we didn't get dad any presents.  Kade was pretty upset about this.  So I said we could go to the store and buy dad something.  When Kade heard that option, he got over dad's lack of gifts pretty quickly.  He said, "No.  I'm not going shopping, mom.  You can go shopping for all of us."  So we're back to a no gift birthday for Erik :-)

Mason had his 6 month appointment today.  3 shots in the legs and one vaccine he had to swallow.  He sucked down the oral vaccine quickly, the nurse was impressed.  She'd never seen a baby take one down so well.  He does like his food :-)

For the past couple appointments Mason has been the exact same size Kade was.  Although they are still EXTREMELY close, Mason has passed Kade's stats.  Kade has always been a big boy, I never in a million years dreamed I'd have an even bigger boy.  But I do and I have the biceps to prove it!

Mason:
27.75 inches (89%)
21 pounds (88%)
Head circumference is 44.60 cm (83%)

Kade, at 6 months:
27.5 inches (81%)
20 pounds (80%)
Head circumference was 45.50 (89%)

He's not missing any meals!  And, so far, he's loving every food we've given him.  I thought feeding Erik and Kade was a full time job.  It looks like Mason is going to be just as big.  I might as well quit my job and move a bed into the kitchen because that's where you will find me from now on!

Just some random pictures of the boys this week.
Future baller, dressing the part now.

I can't believe it but Mason is 6 months old!  He's not a fan of rice but eats oatmeal like a champ, just like Kade did!  We tried sweet potatoes the other day and he downed those too.  Hopefully this means we're on our way to having another great eater!

Warning, this next picture is not for weak stomachs:

He literally started throwing up as we pulled into the driveway.  The unfortunate part was that I was sick too.  And Erik wasn't home.  It was a tough hour as I cleaned everything and tried to keep my own stomach contents in.  He smiled as it was coming out though and through clean up.  Such a happy and content little boy.

This was him the next day:
All better!  And looking so big!

Dentist visit...Kade had 6 cavities!!  I swear we brush, floss and eat well!  Kid doesn't even like juice that much!!

Since the dentist can't give out sweets, they give out sweet mustaches instead.  A glimpse at Future Kade, perhaps?

We had to split the cavity fixing into 2 dentist appointments, so Mason got in on the mustache action as well.

Handsome little stud.  We've gotta work on his flexing though :-)  I don't have the heart to correct it yet, he's just too darn cute!

And my favorite picture of the boys, to date:
