June 1st was the last day of school for the boys.

The next day was Kade's first baseball tournament of the summer.

It was a hot one!!

He's not a fan of pitching but he's so darn good at it, he's usually saved for the Championship game.  He makes it look easy, even though he says he's not enjoying it.

So in a couple weeks we'll be heading up to the cities for State

Of course Mason brought his pole just in case there happened to be fishing near the baseball fields.

The fishing wasn't great but he could see big ones in the water so he had fun trying to entice them to bite his hook (they didn't).

 

 Time has gotten away from me!  We've been gone the past 3 weekends for camping and baseball, it's been a whirlwind beginning of summer!!

We couldn't have asked for better weather for Memorial Day weekend!!  It was perfect for camping!  Our sites were right on the pond.  In the past that meant catching a lot of fish, unfortunately this time there weren't any fish but they did have fun catching turtles!!  There were some big snappers in there!

Charlie tried to get the hook out but that sucker snapped hard and fast!  

Charlie gave up after that.

Kade was good at giving directions from a very safe place on the bank.

The boys are keeping us busy, as usual!  Kade has been VERY into golf this spring.  

One day, Erik took Kade golfing 18 holes in the morning and Mason fishing in the afternoon.  While I cleaned the house and prepped for the upcoming 3 weekends in a row of camping, baseball and baseball!  Thank goodness school is finally out, it was starting to get in the way of our fun!!

Mason had Track and Field day last week.  He did the softball throw, the long jump and ran the 400.  I wasn't able to get off work but Erik took the day off to cheer him on.  

He also had a field trip to the government center where they did a mock trial.  I'm not sure how but Mason was chosen as the judge!  Let's just hope he always stays on this side of the law!!

Kade joined a gym, with his buddies Porter and Charlie, called ETS.  Starting May 1st, they've been going 3 days a week, getting up at 5:20am to make it to the 6:15 class before school.  He's been showing us his muscles and we're definitely seeing results!  Can't believe he's old enough to weight train!!

I took them out for pizza after one of their evening workouts.  The nerds all sat on one side of the booth while I sat by myself on the other side 😆
