A few weeks ago Mason and I were in the basement and we kept hearing this loud banging noise.  We thought it was Erik working on the landscaping outside but he and Kade were just upstairs checking out the back of their eyelids while on the couch watching football, so it couldn't have been him.  After hearing it few more times, we decided to inspect the situation.

Imagine our surprise when we realized Thanksgiving was literally knocking on our windows!!

There were a bunch of beautiful days in October where we thought, "We gotta get one last fishing trip in while the weather is still nice".  Except, there ended up being quite a few of those evenings!  

No one was complaining about that!

While Mason was catching the big bass, Kade was riding the trails with Zee.

The week after the Gopher game Mason had his very first kindergarten field trip to an apple orchard!  I wasn't able to go but a friend of mine did and sent me lots of cute pictures throughout the day.  Mason loved it!  Even if they weren't able to actually eat an apple while at the orchard...which, truth be told, kinda blows my mind!!

We had tickets for a Twins game for the weekend after the Gopher game.

However, Mason wasn't quite ready for another all day sporting event.  And the only baseball I enjoy is the kind where my boys are playing.  So Mason and I were more than happy to share our tickets with Kade's buddy, Porter and his dad Scott.

I think that was a win-win for everyone!

Instead of going to the baseball game, Mason got to have a day fishing with Grandpa and Grandma H.

Not going to lie, I looked at this view a whole lot more than I watched the game.

A few posts ago I mentioned Mason's conversation with the DNR guy.  There was a cool poster in the tent that he wanted so I emailed the DNR asking where to find it and this showed up a couple days later!  This is one happy little fisherman!!

We didn't camp nearly as much this summer as we have past summers, but we did manage to go on Labor Day weekend!

Mason still couldn't swim so he spent a lot of time at the fishing piers.

Of course, Kade and his luck reeled in the big guys!  Again, Mason was just excited that Kade let him take them off the hook.
