Random Picture Catch Up

Looking through my pictures from the last few weeks and I realized I skipped over a few!

Mason can always talk Grandpa into joining him on a quick fishing trip!

The only catch of that day.
And he caught it within 30 seconds of putting a line in the water!

Mason hunting gophers.
When I told him to pose for this picture he told me I'm not allowed to call him Mason, I'm only allowed to call him, "The Gopher Killer".
Yikes.

My fearless gopher hunters.
Don't worry, no gophers in this picture were actually harmed.
Erik couldn't get that little guy out, then he accidentally bumped the door open and the gopher shot out like a bat outta hell!!

Kade and I found Mason some football pants at a garage sale.
They decided they needed to pose like real football players.
Hence the very serious faces.

Kade and Charlie riding around town on their scooters, trying to sell baseball fundraiser cards.
The problem was, they went about 5 days after the fundraiser started, which means every single house in town had already been hit up.
They sold exactly 2 cards and 1 of them was to my mom.
Charlie actually had a guy slam the door in his face while he was mid sentence!
Kade had a guy tell him to skedattle!
I guess we can chalk that up to a learning experience.

The boys were playing in the backyard with Violet one day.
Violet was standing on top of the tree stump that they are looking at.  She looked down and saw a mama raccoon and a bunch of babies looking up at her from inside the stump!  I bet she's never moved so fast in her life!  The boys were so excited they couldn't stop looking in.
The mama found a new spot for her babies that night, we haven't seen them since.  Best decision that mama ever made because Erik wasn't thrilled about that situation.
Although, if you see the picture above, you'll realize that the woodland creatures making their home around our home are actually quite safe!!

Now this guy,
on the other hand,
is a fearless hunter and gatherer.

Daycare got a fun new water toy for the summer!
It was kind of chilly but they couldn't wait to try it out.

Mason's Preschool Graduation

The last week in May our little scholar (cough, cough, wink, wink) graduated preschool!!  Anyone who's met Mason knows that school and organized learning are not really his jam but he did it!  And he showed major improvements from the beginning of the year.
Mason is my not-a-morning-person, sleep-in-until-10:00, grumpy-until-he-wakes-up-an-hour-after-he-opens-his-eyes kid so getting him up for school was a bit of a challenge (pretty much the EXACT OPPOSITE of Kade).  Only 13 years to go!
Give this kid a fishing pole.  Or a knot in the line.  Or an engine that needs figuring out and he will astound you with his patience, ingenuity and manual dexterity.  Ask him to say the alphabet or count to 100 and he'll tell you, "Nah.  How about you do it instead."  It could be a long 13 years...

But, dang, does he make graduating look good!!!

Silly dancing with Dad.

Diploma time!

Mason and Harper, the only time they'll be in the same class.
Mason is on to kindergarten next year.  Harper, who is a little younger, will do another year of preschool.

Mason and his best buddies from daycare.

Grandpa and Grandma time!

Little stinker was winking in every picture we took.

He asked for strawberry cake, and that is what he got!

Not to forget Kade Man.
He had an end of the year activities day that ended up being inside due to rain.
Here he is with his buddy Kelton.

And Charlie and Nolan.
Nolan, who is the oldest, with his 2 giant bookend buddies!!

End of School Year

It's been a busy few weeks with end of school year activities and the start of summer activities overlapping right now.  I can't believe Kade is done with 2nd grade and Mason is done with preschool!!  Time is flying by and I just can't get enough of these handsome baby faces.  It's amazing how much they grew this year, both in size and maturity.  They're definitely turning into little men right before my eyes.
Mason's first day of preschool picture,

and his last day of preschool picture.

Kade's first day of 2nd grade picture,

and his last day of second grade picture.

I have to post on the end of the year activities because there's a ton of pictures!  Summer will be in full swing before I know it!!
