It was Homecoming a couple weeks ago.
The boys modeling their maroon and gold!

Mason DID NOT want to take a picture without his backpack.
So we compromised...

Kade with one of his best buddies, Kelton, and their hero Brady!

Kade got a gift card to Scheels for his birthday.
He used it to buy a real helmet and mouthguard.
Have I mentioned lately that Kade STILL changes his clothes 20 times a day and STILL dresses the part for whatever activity he's doing?  Yep.  He does.

Harper, Mason and Nyle
These 3 kicked butt at their Kindergarten screening and got treated to lunch at a "chips n salsa restaurant"!

Mason with his hero, Gavin!

The boys "borrowed" a bunch of corn from the field next to our house.
Rather than let it go to waste, they got all of the corn off the ears and are using it to feed the critters around our house, much to Erik's "delight".

Handsome boys with their haircut.

And quite possibly my favorite picture of all time...
The found their baptism outfits and wanted to see if the ties still fit.
Apparently they do!!

Picture Catch Up

Grandpa and Grandma C got the boys a ninja warrior tight rope last year for Christmas.
It's hard to cross!  There's a video of me trying to it out, I will not be posting it!!

Lunch date with this goofball

Kade and his buddy Owen.
Safety nerds.

The last weekend in September my friend Megan and I ran in the Oktoberfest race in La Crosse.  I went down Friday night, slept over at her house, got up at 5:30 am to make it to the starting line.

5 miles later we were enjoying a Bloody Mary at 9:00 am!

Having fun at daycare

We had a few families over for a bonfire, supper and hot apple cider in early October.  It was a great fall day, the kids played in the woods, explored the corn fields around the house and played some football.  The parents were able to sit around a warm fire and relax!
This is the only picture of the day.
They loved walking around with coffee cups, just like their moms.

One of the projects on Erik's To Do List this summer was to build a small retaining wall.  He finally found time the first weekend in September.  Technically he did still get it done in the summer, since summer doesn't officially end until Sept 21st, right?

Of course, no project is possible without the amazing help of 2 little boys!

The final product!
That Tall Guy is handy, I guess I'll keep him around.

Helping Dad is hard work...

Our last camping trip of the season was the second weekend in September.  We were hoping for some crisp fall weather, instead we got about 100 degrees with 90% humidity.  Thank goodness the pool was still open!

School Pictures

We got the boys' school pictures back!  Well, sort of.  They took them on Meet the Teacher day and I put Erik in charge of pictures while I went to the other parts of the school to fill out paperwork and write out exactly 1.4 million checks.

Anyone who knows Erik knows that his favorite saying is, "I'm not monkeying around with..." (fill in the blank).  So when we met up afterwards and I asked him which picture package he ordered, he handed me the photographer's card and said, "I'm not monkeying around with that.  We can just order them online."  And, of course, that little card got lost in the shuffle so last week, when every other kid in school brought their actual hard copy pictures home, I got to "monkey around" with getting online and ordering the packages.

Luckily I knew what I was getting into when I married him.

So here's a screenshot off of my phone of our handsome little men.
