Time slips away and out of nowhere it'll pop into my head that I haven't done a post in awhile! We're in the thick of it right now with baseball and vacation coming up, but I swear I'll try to do better!
Kade is playing baseball with the neighboring community this summer. With Erik and I both graduating from our hometown, it was a little hard to see Kade in this uniform 😆 However, it's been a great summer/season so far and it truly was a great decision. Kade has made a whole team of new friends, he's being challenged by the coach, the competition and the tournaments they're in. That was the goal and so far so good!
They got 2nd place in their first tournament of the season, which qualified them to go to "state". Which basically means they get to play in another tournament in July 😂
Erik took Kade that weekend. Meanwhile, I stayed home with Mason and he had his cousin Isaac over.
Of course that meant fishing. HOWEVER. They very quickly lost interest in fishing and ended up in the stream instead. No surprise there. These 2 sure do know how to "boy"!!!
We got home and Isaac discovered he had a leach on his foot! Of course we saved it....free bait!
The next day we went fishing at a different spot. Turns out if you stay OUT of the water you're fishing in, you can catch things!
Memorial weekend we went camping.
It was cold and rainy a lot of the time but it was probably one of the top camping trips we had!
We ended up going on a beer run and buying a projector at the same time. The Timberwolves were in the play offs at the time and nobody wanted to miss the game.
Another bonus...the people we were camping with had recently rescued an abandoned duck. So we got to spend the weekend with Dillard. This little guy was the talk of the campground. The dads may have enjoyed some whiskey, so Kade would drive them around on the golf cart and they would bring Dillard to meet other people camping. He was an ice breaker for sure 😆
Mason and Harper watching cartoons after the game was over.
Probably my favorite picture of the weekend...
Mason had just got done saying, "I farted".
