Vacation Part 2

I lost count of how many times we mini golfed on this trip.  It was Kade’s request every day that we go to a course.  Looking back on my pictures, I didn’t see that we took any of Kade golfing!  Parent fail.

We stopped and climbed around Needles highway

Yes, mason is doing exactly what you think he’s doing when you look at the picture.  Erik being a good dad and keeping watch 😂

Kade was way too high up for my comfort in this picture.  He was so high up that it didn’t do any good to take his picture because you couldn’t see him.  Ugh.  I did not enjoy that moment 😂

Leg wrestling?  Mason won, I think Kade’s legs are too long for whatever “sport” this is.

 

Vacation II

In August, between baseball ending and football staring, we took a vacation to the Black Hills.  The 4 of us, my parents, the 2 dogs and a camper!  We loaded up 2 vehicles and headed West(ish).

Mason and Lola assumed their positions for the 7 hour drive.

Trixie and I rode shotgun, Erik drove.  Kade rode in the truck with grandpa and grandma.

First overnight stop was Wall, SD

Wall Drug for the doughnuts and coffee!

And, of course, the Badlands

Mason was regretting his life choice…

Mason’s one goal for this trip was to buy himself a cowboy hat!

The boys had never seen one of these in real life

The boys loved walking around the Badlands.  Next time we go, we’ll have to stay longer.  Next up….Hill City.
